[Live dub session] full dub + bass trooperz + amhka dub

In partnership with AFTRWRK AFTRWRK’s first stop is in Chalon, where they’re teaming up with LaPéniche for a brand-new Live Dub Session. On the programme: an evening dedicated to live dub, with a particular focus on its electronic facets. For this debut event, Full Dub, Bass Trooperz and Amhka Dub will take turns at the decks to turn up the heat with heavy basslines and experimental soundscapes. A historic first event – not to be missed! Full Dub FULL DUB continues to forge ahead. A leading act on the French dub scene for over ten years, they’re back with a new album, ‘Forward’, set to become a cornerstone of an already rich discography. Founded by Fabien Romain (synths), the FULL DUB project now comprises Florent Gidon (synths) and Clément Bolot (drums). Whilst their music is composed using machines and computer-assisted music (MAO), the Full Dub sound is enhanced live by drums, adding power and energy. Inspired by reggae, the sounds of the 1980s and bass music, it is a powerful, tribal electromagnetic journey. With three albums to their name, the band continues to rise to prominence whilst remaining true to their ‘homemade’ ethos. Both the albums and the visuals are homemade: self-produced, written, designed, composed, mixed and mastered by the band. The same goes for the T-shirts, which are screen-printed by hand at home! On the album ‘Forward’, the band continues its musical exploration. The album weaves its web between digital stepper dub and more rootsy acoustic atmospheres, whilst always keeping bass music and electro firmly in its sights. Often meditative, sometimes darker, the tracks reflect the ethnic hues of Full Dub’s influences. Bass Trooperz Following their debut trilogy, Bass Trooperz return more seasoned than ever. Born from the collaboration between Ashkabad and Mahom on the fringes of the dub galaxy, the duo continue their interstellar journey, constantly pushing the boundaries between earthy basslines and electronic explorations further and further. At the controls: Bastien on synth bass, Joris on the machines. Together, they deliver a cosmic, intense and cinematic live show – a sonic journey where power, tension and letting go converge. The Force is with them. Amhka Dub A father and his son, two kindred spirits, bound by rhythm, building a bridge between worlds; between eras. Amhka Dub is their name, a vibration born of their passions. A breath of deep dub, with Rasta roots, where Africa, France and Nepal blend together, deep down… On stage, they sculpt the air with mysterious sounds, strange instruments and precious silences. Music that caresses, that speaks to the soul. A mental journey; a sensory voyage that invites you to listen and opens minds. Their notes speak to everyone: to dreamers, the curious, and rebels, without ever betraying the gentleness of the fire. Ze capt’ain and Mussuko, a duo in perfect harmony, launched this project as one might send a balloon – filled with love, stories, sounds and doubts – out onto the sea of the world; they are charting their own course. Their arrival would be a gentle thrill; an invitation… to feel, to slow down, to discover, and perhaps, to never let them go.
