On foot: the Grand Chalon region is dotted with numerous signposted footpaths and “balades vertes”. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced walker, alone or with the family, the region offers a wide range of itineraries between vineyards, forests and valleys. If you’re a Nordic walker, you’ll also find what you’re looking for in the heart of the region’s multi-faceted, unspoilt landscapes.
On horseback: there are many paths and tracks in our region dedicated to horse riding. Equestrian clubs and riders’ associations also offer day trips, or even multi-day stays for experienced riders (Galop III or IV level).
Rollerblading: between Chalon and Buxy, the “voie verte” is a favorite terrain for rollerblading enthusiasts. The old railroad line winds its way through the magnificent landscapes of the Côte Chalonnaise, giving you the chance to take in the sights while burning off some energy!
By solex: do you know how to ride a bike? Then you’ve got what it takes for a solex ride! You can rent one for a few hours and take on the Voie des Vignes on your mount…
On a scooter: Would you like a fun, enjoyable and innovative way to explore the area without getting tired? Then get on your scooter and enjoy the enchanting setting of the Côte Chalonnaise, between vineyards and châteaux. Discovering the region on an electric scooter is much quieter than on a motorcycle!
