For the past 20 years, we have held the Qualité Tourisme™ accreditation, the only government-recognised scheme that recognises tourism professionals for the quality of their hospitality and services.

Accommodation, restaurants, attractions, leisure activities, tourist information centres… this label allows you to choose with confidence establishments committed to a standard of excellence.

Whether they are well-known establishments or hidden gems, large chains or independent businesses, they all share the same commitment: to offer you impeccable hospitality.
Today, nearly 5,500 establishments in France hold this label.

Tourism and disabilityTowards an inclusive region

Holding the ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ accreditation since 2011, the Tourist Office is committed to providing a welcome that is accessible to all.

For visitors with reduced mobility, a ramp with a handrail provides access to the exhibition hall; movement to the counter is facilitated, and an adapted reception desk is available. Accessible toilets can also be provided on request.

For visitors with visual impairments, a welcome leaflet in Braille and large print is available, whilst high-contrast signage and tactile paving ensure safe access to the entrance and throughout the building. A loop system is installed at reception for people with hearing impairments, and signage featuring pictograms helps people with intellectual disabilities to find their way around.

Kids’ AdventuresMemories for young and old alike

With Aventures Mômes, Saône-et-Loire is establishing itself as an ideal destination for holidays that are 100 per cent ‘child-friendly’. Designed for families with children aged 4 to 14, this label guarantees suitable, fun and accessible activities, designed to spark curiosity whilst having fun.

Nature walks, interactive cultural discoveries, creative workshops, sporting activities and unusual experiences… the range of options is varied and designed to cater for everyone’s interests, young and old alike. The sites and providers involved in this initiative are committed to offering a warm welcome, age-appropriate educational content and unforgettable moments to share as a family.

City of Art and HistoryPreserving our historical heritage

Chalon-sur-Saône has been awarded the ‘City of Art and History’ label, a distinction granted by the Ministry of Culture to local areas that are actively committed to promoting and passing on their heritage. This designation guarantees an ambitious policy aimed at showcasing local architecture, history and traditional skills.

In Chalon, this takes the form of high-quality guided tours, educational initiatives for young people, outreach programmes accessible to all, and a particular focus on the conservation and interpretation of heritage.

Town and Village Welcoming Vintage VehiclesTo promote automotive heritage

Chalon-sur-Saône has been recognised as a ‘Ville d’Accueil des Véhicules d’Époque’ (City Welcoming Vintage Vehicles), a designation awarded by the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles (FFVE). This distinction recognises areas that are committed to welcoming enthusiasts of vintage cars and motorbikes, as well as to promoting our motoring heritage.

In practical terms, this means that the destination offers suitable facilities, pleasant routes to explore, appropriate parking facilities and a particular focus on events related to classic vehicles.

The Accueil Vélo label recognises accommodation, restaurants, tourist attractions and tourist information centres located near a cycle route and offering services tailored to cycle tourists.

Secure parking, repair kits, dedicated information, route advice… everything is designed to make your stops easier and allow you to travel with peace of mind.

In Chalon-sur-Saône, at the crossroads of major routes such as EuroVelo 6 and the Voie Bleue, this label guarantees a warm welcome and services tailored to cycling enthusiasts.

Established in 2009, the Vignobles & Découvertes label recognises destinations offering a comprehensive range of wine-related tourist activities: accommodation, restaurants, cellar tours, tastings, museums and events.

It makes it easy to identify high-quality services and to plan a wine tourism holiday with complete confidence.

The Côte Chalonnaise, which has held the label since 2013, invites you to discover its wine appellations, heritage and landscapes, whilst staying in the heart of the vineyards.

Since October 2018, Chalon-sur-Saône has been awarded the ‘4th Flower’ by the ‘Villes et Villages Fleuris’ scheme, the highest accolade in the national rankings.

This scheme recognises local authorities committed to a comprehensive approach to improving the quality of life through greenery, landscaping and the quality of public spaces. It also rewards initiatives promoting biodiversity, sustainable resource management and community involvement.
