PROG’ PRESENTATION We could have kept it simple. But no! This year, the Prog’ presentation is taking place at home, amongst friends, over a beer — with loads of great things to show you, tell you about and introduce you to.And because we love evenings with a bit of character, we’re following straight on with a concert by Stone Sober. Raw, energetic garage rock – exactly the sort we love here. We’ve also dug out the boxes: posters and programmes from past seasons will be on sale, pay-what-you-want. You give what you want, what you can — a lovely way to take home a little piece of LaPéniche (and support us in the process). And we’ve got even more surprises in store for you. But shhh. STONE SOBER Stone Sober is a Hungarian psychedelic garage rock duo, consisting of drums and guitar, formed in 2021. The duo’s unique sound is characterised by a raw and direct approach, heavy riffs-driven grooves, offbeat male and female vocals, and occasionally unusual rhythmic patterns. Their bell-bottoms and extraordinary outfits perfectly capture the vibe and aesthetic of the 1970s. With three albums already to their name, the duo continues to compose with boundless passion and creativity. This drive has been richly rewarded in recent years with prestigious opportunities, such as supporting the Australian band Wolfmother, the Canadian band Mother Mother, and the Brant Bjork Trio (USA). Stone Sober have also been invited to perform at Hungary’s biggest festivals, such as Sziget and Campus.The duo perform regularly not only in Hungary, but also in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. Recognised for their potential on the international stage, they have been selected to play at the Waves Vienna Showcase festival in 2025.
