2026 Vine Festival: three days of celebrations in Givry From Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September 2026, Givry will be celebrating its traditional Vine Festival, a must-attend event to mark the start of the new season. For three days, residents, visitors, local organisations, shopkeepers, craftspeople and winegrowers will come together to share in the festivities centred on what makes our town so special: its terroir, its heritage, its traditional skills and its warm, welcoming atmosphere. The festivities will kick off on Friday evening with Givry’s restaurants, which will be offering a special menu created especially for the occasion. On Saturday evening, local organisations will take over with their food and drink stalls near the church. The evening will be enlivened by the DISPERSION brass band, before continuing with the traditional dance hosted by TEAM ANIM. Entertainment for the whole family Throughout the weekend, Givry will come alive to the sound of brass bands, the municipal band and a host of musical performances. On Saturday from 3 pm, Georges Laporte Park will host ‘Laporte aux enfants!’, an area entirely dedicated to the little ones. On the programme: face painting, giant wooden games, board games with ‘Les 30h du Jeu’, storytelling by Nadia Bossu, a travelling magician, a collective mural and a refreshment stand run by the Amis de Léocadie and the P’tits Givrotins. The funfair will also be in attendance throughout the three days, featuring rides, games of skill and tasty treats. On Sunday, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, visitors can enjoy a flea market organised by A2c on Boulevard de Metz and Place de la Poste, a craft market in Georges Laporte Park, Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville and on the forecourt of the Halle Ronde, as well as the Village des Associations, where Givry’s community organisations will showcase their activities through demonstrations, entertainment and opportunities to socialise. Givry wines take centre stage The Tourist Information Centre and the Caveau Givry Vins will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 15.30 to 18.30, at 13, Place de la Poste. Visitors will be able to discover and purchase wines from over twenty estates at estate prices. On Saturday evening, the Givry AOC Defence and Management Organisation (ODG) will also be present near the church. Givry’s winegrowers will be offering tastings of the appellation’s wines and sharing their passion with the public.
