DANCING PEOPLE DON'T DIE
THE DRIVER aka Manu le Malin
Manu Le Malin is not just a mainstay of the hardcore scene who has been travelling the world for over 20 years, armed with his vinyl records and tattoos. A standard-bearer for rave culture, Manu is first and foremost an outstanding DJ, who also knows how to charm and command the crowd in another guise: that of The Driver, his techno alter ego. This other repertoire – dark, powerful and incredibly infectious – gets crowds dancing with the same passion and unrivalled success every time. A charisma, an incredible technique, a world and a soul found only in his sets.... With every performance, he reaffirms an enduring command that never ceases to surprise whilst delighting audiences of all generations. Today, it is within this techno genre that Manu devotes himself fully to production and tours the club scenes of France and Navarre (Weather, Concrete, Rex Club, Arena Club Berlin, Le Sucre, Glazart, Gaité Lyrique...), when he isn’t performing alongside his comrade-in-arms Electric Rescue – with whom he forms the duo W.LV.S – or in his legendary guise as Manu Le Malin.
DOUBLE VITRAGE
Techno that makes you want to headbang like at a rock concert: that’s what happens when you party Double Vitrage-style. But before you find yourself with your feet in the air, this live set is as much a spectacle to watch as it is to dance to. Rémi’s drum kit faces Raphaël’s modular synth, the two musicians from Tours catching sight of one another amidst waves of strobes and flashing LEDs synchronised with devastating kicks. And when the tension reaches its peak, the whole dancefloor erupts.
SUKKUBE
Sukkube, a French DJ, musician and electronic music producer, creates a unique, melodic techno sound using modular synthesisers. At the crossroads between avant-garde electronic music and more mainstream artists such as Portishead, Télépopmusik and Lady Starlight, Sukkube captivates and mesmerises us with a raw, minimalist sound. No special effects, no giant screens in her immersive live performances; we simply let ourselves be swept away by this quiet power, her subtleties and unsettling nuances that are already winning over the Berlin electronic scene.
She has had the opportunity to play at iconic venues and festivals on the electronic music scene, including the Métronum (Toulouse), Superbooth (Berlin), AVA Club (Berlin), Acud Macht Neu (Berlin), gART.n (Berlin), Ved Siden Af (Copenhagen), Forum Klub (Graz) and Le Groove (Geneva).
