The Little Fir Tree
The hero of our story is a little fir tree who grows up alone in a deciduous forest. He is unhappy because he cannot make friends. The other trees in the forest make fun of him because of his difference. The story tells how he first tries to look like the other trees by praying every night to the forest fairy to transform him. Of course his tricks don't work. But his friendship with the forest fairy helps him to accept himself and his difference. Here is his song, the main theme of the show, which sums up his adventures:
By Louisiane Pillot & Lydiane Curt-Pitou :
Louisiane Pillot
Guitarist, singer and choir leader, Louisiane discovered her passion for music at a very young age. She started learning classical guitar at the music school in Autun at the age of 8. She continued her studies at the conservatory of Chalon-sur-Saône where she also trained in choral conducting and singing. As the saying goes: "Happiness is only meaningful if it is shared", for Louisiane, it is the same for music. This is how she transmits the pleasure of learning, feeling and sharing music in various places where it can resonate (music schools, nurseries, choirs, concerts...). She is just as happy with the Argentinean tango as with a Polish mazurka or a Berrichonne bourrée.
Lydiane Curt-Pitou
Holder of the DE in clarinet from the Pôle d'Enseignement Supérieur de Musique de Bourgogne, of the CEM in orchestral conducting from the CRR of Chalon-sur-Saône, and in lyrical singing from the CRI of Le Creusot. She currently teaches in Saône-et-Loire (EMM of Blanzy and CRC of Montceau-les-Mines). She plays regularly in orchestras (harmonic and symphonic) and in chamber music. She directs the Creusot wind band and the Reflet choir, also in Creusot. She is also an author, composer and performer with her French song group Lyly and co, and develops musical tales for children with the 2L.
