Winner of the SACEM's Georges Enesco Prize, Classical Revelation at the Midem in Cannes, invited to the 23rd Victoires de la Musique Classique in Toulouse and member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York, Nicolas Dautricourt is without doubt one of the most brilliant and engaging French violinists of his generation.
In January 2019 he made his debut at the Philharmonie de Paris with the Orchestre National d'Ile de France in Prokofiev's Second Concerto under the direction of Jamie Philipps, and regularly performs on the greatest international stages, Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, Wigmore Hall, Moscow Tchaikovsky Hall, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Salle Pleyel, Cité de la Musique and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées among others. He is also a guest at prestigious classical and jazz festivals such as the Enesco Festival in Bucharest, Lockenhaus Kammermusikfest, Music@Menlo, Ravinia, Parnu, Davos, Sintra, Folles Journées de Nantes and Tokyo, Jazz à Vienne, Marciac Jazz Festival, Jazz à la Grange, he has already performed as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Detroit Symphony, SWR Saarbrücken, BBC Wales National Orchestra, Aachen Symphony, Sinfonia Varsovia, Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège...
He has won prizes at the Wieniawski, Lipizer and Belgrade international competitions. He has studied with Philip Hirschhorn, Miriam Fried and Jean-Jacques Kantorow, and since 2021 has been professor of violin at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles.
Nicolas Dautricourt plays a magnificent instrument by Antonio Stradivarius dating from 1713, the "Château Pape-Clément", generously made available to him by Bernard Magrez, and in January 2021, was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the Minister of Culture.
