Larzac !
Larzac ! looks at what is happening on the plateau today: the lives of its inhabitants and the collective management of agricultural land in which they participate. In a mixture of intimate stories, reflections on our relationship to property, on the peasant farming that the Larzaciens intend to carry out, and questions about how the collective works, Larzac! is the reflection of forty years' experience of this exemplary collective management. My interest in the actions and words of politicians has gradually shifted to those of men and women who refuse to accept fate, who are prepared to take the law into their own hands for a time. For them, the spoken word is an act, a reconnection with meaning.
