A veritable institution in the hotel and catering sector, the famous waiters' and waitresses' race is making a comeback in Chalon/Saône on the initiative of the UMIH71 and in partnership with Akto, France travail, La CMA Mercurey, La Mission Locale de Chalon, Le Pont and Le Medef.

This afternoon will see runners compete in 3 different races: professionals, trainees and alternating students and jobseekers/amateurs.
All participants will be rewarded and the finalists in each race will win meals and hotel accommodation in the department.
The event has been designed to showcase the catering professions in a fun and festive way. Visitors will be entertained by music in the partners' village, where they can find out more about the catering professions and the tools available to professionals and workers, as well as enjoying tastings and taking part in a mini race for children. Professionals will be able to advertise their job vacancies at the event.

A raffle for visitors will include hotel nights, meals and gifts from Saône-et-Loire professionals and Chalon/Saône retailers.

Open to all professionals and amateurs in the sector, the race will take place in the pedestrian streets, with a start and finish at Place du Théâtre from 2pm (welcome at 2pm, races start at 3pm, prize-giving at 5pm).

A refreshment area, in partnership with Pixelles Pintxos, will be serving cold drinks and tapas.

Entries are open until midnight on 20/05.
