In the Grand Chalon area, you’ll find 3 venues that showcase the Côte Chalonnaise. In Chalon-sur-Saône, you’ll find the Maison des Vins, presenting a wide range of wines from the region, with a wine list renewed every 6 months and selected by a jury. The best-rated wines are on sale on site. Givry and Mercurey have their own cellars where you’ll find a wide selection of wines from the appellation concerned. These places are real showcases of local know-how, and ideal for short visits, as you’ll find wines from many different estates.

Maison des Vins de la Côte Chalonnaise

Created in 1982 in Chalon-sur-Saône to promote the wines of the Côte Chalonnaise and bring together its various appellations (Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey, Givry, Montagny and Crémant de Bourgogne) in a single location, the Maison des Vins is both a sales and tasting cellar. Twice a year, a jury of professionals and enlightened amateurs blind-tastes and rates 300 wines. The most popular wines make up the autumn-winter selection and the spring-summer selection, which set the pace for the life of the Maison des Vins de la Côte Chalonnaise.

Producer price

In these cellars, you can buy all the wines at the same price as the producer. And if you fall in love with a wine, you can visit the estate to discover the full range of the winemaker’s wines.

Caveau Divin Mercurey

The Caveau Divin is an innovative sales outlet in Burgundy, offering visitors the chance to taste Mercurey wines. A unique and comfortable place, it is possible to taste up to 64 different wines from the appellation, with 44 domaines and producers represented.

Mercurey Villages, Mercurey 1ers Crus whites and reds, the Caveau Divin brings together in a single location the full expression of Mercurey’s terroirs and a wide variety of aromas to be appreciated thanks to the Enomatic system for dispensing wine by the glass. A new and optimized tasting experience thanks to the bottles’ preservation under neutral gas, which prevents oxidation of the wines. Appreciate the work of the appellation’s winemakers, the diversity of our terroirs and our cuvées in this place of sharing in the heart of the village of Mercurey.

Caveau Givry Vins offers 32 Givry wines from 22 estates for tasting and sale. The cellar is equipped with the Enomatic system for dispensing wine by the glass, which preserves all the organoleptic qualities of the wine by avoiding air oxidation. It also enables independent tasting: a pre-paid magnetic card (5€, 10€, 15€…) gives you access to the tasting and allows you to serve yourself. An advisor is always on hand to help you with your tasting!

The cellar is also Givry’s tourist information point: here you’ll find ideas for activities, programs for visits and tastings, and a store selling regional products and souvenirs.
