Prague, between day and night: Jean-Claude Couval, photographs Jean-Claude Couval takes us on a journey through time, exploring intimate places where the magic still lingers. Places once frequented by artists, writers and photographers, now overrun by mass tourism. Trips to Prague from 1992 to 2015. Exhibition from 17 July to 16 August Opening on Friday 17 July, 6.30 pm Reading by David Rougerie: Saturday 25 July, 8.00 pm (donations welcome) JEAN GIONO (1895–1970): The Man Who Planted Trees A solitary shepherd plants trees – thousands of trees. Over the years, the old man has realised his dream: the arid, desolate moor has become a land teeming with life. A moving portrait and a hymn to nature.
