Description
A2c / Concert given by soprano Stéphanie LORIS with piano accompaniment by Claude Duperret
A2c / The inspiration of musicians has often taken a diversion to the Orient. This concert by soprano Stéphanie LORIS, accompanied on the piano by Claude DUPERRET, will illustrate the point with works by Schubert, Fauré, Duparc, Bizet, Berlioz and Hahn: the oriental dream will find its resonance in the human voice, so close to every emotion.
Séphanie Loris was introduced to music as a child, learning to play the piano. After gaining a Master's degree in Economics, she decided to devote herself entirely to the study of singing.
She won First Prize in Opera at the Mâcon International Competition in 1999, then joined the Opera Studio at the Opéra de Lyon for two consecutive seasons, where she sang the roles of Rosita (Offenbach's Un mari à la porte), Laurette (Bizet's Le Docteur Miracle), Guillemette (Barraud's La Farce de Maître Pathelin), Fé-an-nich-ton (Offenbach's Ba-ta-clan), Elisetta (Cimarosa's Le Mariage secret), and Berta (Rossini's Le Barbier de Séville) alongside artists such as Karine Deshayes, Svetlana Lifar and Paul Gay.
Since 2017, Stéphanie Loris has been a regular member of the Paris Opera Chorus.
