Tourism strategy

Discover the key development areas of our 2022-2026 strategic policy :

Our development priorities :
Wine tourism: Grand Chalon boasts an exceptional wine-growing heritage. We aim to promote our wines and organize major wine tourism events to attract visitors. The “Vignobles et Découvertes” label is one of the key tools in this process.
River tourism: With the Saône and its canals, Greater Chalon has unique potential for river tourism. We are working to develop and revitalize our quays to welcome boaters and develop a variety of water-based leisure activities.
Cycle tourism: Developing cycling infrastructures and promoting dedicated routes are essential to attracting cycle tourists. We are participating in inter-regional projects to improve the welcome and services offered to this clientele.
Promoting heritage: Chalon-sur-Saône, a city of Art and History, is the cradle of photography. We highlight our rich cultural and historical heritage to offer visitors unique experiences.
