Closed to the public for several years due to demolition work nearby, the former hospital is opening its doors again for this two-voice tour of the sisters' refectory, led by a guide from the Villes et Pays d'art et d'histoire association and a volunteer from the Abigaïl Mathieu association.
Built in the early 18th century, the refectory is decorated with rocaille-style wood panelling (featuring plant decorations, curves and asymmetrical motifs).
They include medallions depicting the Evangelists and panels evoking the seasons.
The fountain, in pink stone, like the floor, bears witness to the date of creation of this room (1720).
