Agnès Dewé de Launay, following in the footsteps of her father Paul de Launay, manages the 20-hectare family estate, mainly in Mercurey. Her aim is to bring out the personality of each terroir in each of the cuvées, from the work done in the vines (ploughing, organic amendment) and the choice of barrels right through to bottling, while preserving the purity of the aromas and the delicacy of the tannins expressed in the wines through the least interventionist winemaking possible. A cross-cutting ecological approach dictates every action taken at the estate: choice of inputs, rainwater harvesting, sheep during the winter months, favouring short circuits when choosing suppliers, etc.
