A key player in the Chalon area, the Mercurey Côte Chalonnaise Lions Club is organising the 14th edition of the "Festives Musicales", in partnership with the Grand Orchestre d'Harmonie Saint-Rémy / Les Charreaux and the City of Chalon-sur-Saône. The orchestra has been working for weeks on a musical programme that will highlight the works of American composer John Williams. A true virtuoso of film music, he is responsible for the revival of symphonic soundtracks, such as those to be performed at the 14th Festives Musicales (Star Wars, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Hook, Harry Potter, Schindler's List...). The concert, entitled "The Musical Epic of John Williams: From Stars to Wizards", whose proceeds will be donated in full to the Mercury Club's social causes, is an invitation to relive the emotions of the masterpieces of the 7th Art. The intermission will be entertained by the group Switch.
