The purpose of the Centre d'Interprétation Archéologique de Chassey Le Camp - CIACC - created in 2018, is to showcase the finds made in the 19th and 20th centuries on the commune's own site. Through 6 interpretation panels and 6 display cases showing sixty authentic objects and artefacts from the Rolin Museum in Autun and the Denon Museum in Chalon sur Saone, the CIACC highlights the human presence on the site, from the Chassean period (4500 BC) to the Merovingian period (476 AD) - almost 5,000 years of occupation.
Texts, photos, sketches and artefacts enhance this veritable 'little museum', which is a joy to explore.
Leaflets are available for visitors, who can tour the site at their leisure, which is crossed by the GR7 footpath.
