To mark the anniversary of the A-Traction Records label, LaPéniche is hosting a major electro night celebrating over twenty years of independent electronic music, ranging from techno and EBM to dark electro. This special night celebrates the label's identity: a radical, immersive aesthetic deeply rooted in club culture.
Headlining the night, Veronika Nikolic & John Lord Fonda present a brand new, hard-hitting live show. Leading figures on the French techno scene, they combine their complementary worlds: the rhythmic power and raw energy of John Lord Fonda, a producer renowned for his emblematic albums and remixes, meets the melodic, dreamy, New Wave/EBM-influenced techno of Veronika Nikolic. Their on-stage complicity gives rise to intense performances, punctuated by explosive drops, heralding the forthcoming release of a new EP on A-Traction Records.
Founder of the label, Marc Ayats embodies the DNA of A-Traction Records. Active for more than twenty years, he offers a dark, uncompromising brand of techno fuelled by EBM, rave and industrial. A prolific producer, radio resident and seasoned performer, he has performed at iconic venues such as Rex Club and continues his sonic explorations as part of the AYATS-THORVALD duo.
Poltergeist extends the night with cold, heavy, organic electro. His universe, influenced by Kraftwerk, Vitalic, Gesaffelstein and Paul Kalkbrenner, conjures up a clubbing aesthetic with 80s overtones, where dance becomes an outlet and art a sensory refuge.
Finally, Erebos 101 adds a retro-futuristic and committed touch. Inspired by Kraftwerk and EBM, this Franco-Greek electro producer mixes mechanical rhythms and dark atmospheres, while defending strong values in favour of LGBTQI+ minorities. A contributor to various collectives and host of the ELECTROCODE podcast, he closes the bill with a vision of electronic music that is both political and hypnotic.
