South of the Côte de Beaune, and north of the Mâconnais, discover the Côte Chalonnaise. Follow the D981 and discover the region’s appellations. From north to south, discover Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey, Givry and Montagny. The departmental road passes close by or through the various villages. Take your time, stop for a break, visit the villages and indulge in the wineries.

Leave the A6 freeway and follow the D981

For a change from the freeway, exit at Beaune Sud, join the D974 towards Chagny and drive through the vineyards of the southern Côtes de Beaune. After Chagny, take the D981 south. Catch up with the freeway at Tournus, and enjoy a visit to the vineyards of southern Burgundy.
