The surrounding countryside is pleasant and unspoiled (classified as a ZNIEFF for its rich fauna and flora), a soothing landscape of gently rolling plains blending agriculture and nature, between cultivated fields, meadows, and vast national forests (including one protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich ecosystems), just a stone's throw from the crossroads of the vineyards of the renowned Côtes de Beaune, Hautes Côtes de Beaune, and Côtes Chalonnaises.
