To enjoy a refreshing break in unspoilt, wild surroundings, head towards the western edge of the Grand Chalon, in the heart of the Maranges Valley. The peaceful village of Sampigny-lès-Maranges is crossed by a pretty river called the Cozanne. Whilst the river lends the village a poetic and soothing atmosphere, it’s also the ideal spot for a picnic in the shade, surrounded by dragonflies and butterflies. After the picnic, take off your sandals and dip your feet in the water… close your eyes and savour the moment!
Bonus tip: for your picnic, book your bread and a few artisanal treats at the Pain Levé bakery
