Water Meter's music is said to have been born in a ship in quarantine between the West Indies and New Orleans. After Toonah and its raw swing with rock accents, trumpet player Colin Bosio surrounds himself with a singular group, half brass band, half jazz quartet, to evoke the muggy Bermuda triangle of tropical music, from Creole jazz to swaying funk, via rereadings of Caribbean folklore.
