On the occasion of the bicentenary of the deciphering of the hieroglyphs, the museum offers a temporary display reflecting the Egyptian dream that swept through Europe in the early decades of a nascent Egyptology. The medals from the Monnaie de Paris are matched by photographs from the Musée Nicéphore Niépce and the collections of the Musée Vivant Denon, testifying to the fascination of ancient Egypt.
